Cooking Up Comfort: Eight Members, 90 Minutes, One Big Meal

What do you get when eight Central Missouri CPCU Chapter members take over a kitchen for an hour and a half? A generous helping of teamwork—and dinner for approximately 46 guests at the Ronald McDonald House!

The crew cooked 18 pounds of meat, cut 15 tomatoes, prepared 10 bags of cilantro lime rice and six cans of refried beans, and chopped four heads of lettuce and three onions. That’s quite a grocery list and a good reason to bring eight pairs of hands! With just 90 minutes on the clock, members turned a mountain of ingredients into a comforting meal.

The recipe was simple: willing hands, a little hustle, and a heaping scoop of community spirit. By cooking up comfort, the chapter served more than dinner—it put caring into action, one plate at a time.

In addition to providing the meal, a monetary donation was also given to the Ronald McDonald House form the Chapter.
